Welcome to Midwest Bi* Activist's Webpage!
The mission of the Midwest Bi* Activist website is to provide resources, inspire dialogue, and build power by, for, and about Bi* communities.
Midwest Bi* Activist envisions a world where all Bi* people live happy, empowered lives and where Bi* communities are visible, well-resourced, and celebrated.
This site uses the term "Bi*" as an umbrella term for nonmonosexual people, whether they identify as bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, unlabeled, questioning, curious, open, "really open," omnisexual, ambisexual, sapiosexual, persexual, on the down low, heteroflexible, homoflexible, gay, straight, lesbian, or any other identity label that makes them feel happy and empowered.
Midwest Bi* Activist is a fierce ally to transgender, genderqueer, and other gender non-conforming communities and is expressly committed to promoting the inclusion of all sexual and gender minorities. Midwest Bi* Activist sees the endless diversity of bi* identities and communities as a key strength of our movement. Midwest Bi* Activist believes building successful bi* movements requires bi* activists and organizations to see promoting the inclusion of people of all races, ethnicities, national origins, abilities, sexes, genders, sexualities, relationship orientations, political affiliations, sizes, classes, and religions as inextricably intertwined -- and equally important -- "bi* issues."
